Digital image processing(DSP) is a subcategory or field of digital signal processing. It can be defined as the use of computer algorithms to perform image processing on digital images. A digital image is the representation of a real image which is composed of picture elements, also known as pixels, each with finite, discrete quantities of numeric representation for its intensity or gray level.
